The Head 2 Work project is offered to young people living in the Boroughs of Croydon, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Kingston
Head 2 Work is a social action and employability programme offered to young individuals between the ages of 18-24 (not in education, employment or training), who are currently looking for the opportunity to work in teams designing and delivering social action projects within their own communities. This will be building on their skills and confidence with the aim to get them back into education, employment or training. The project will provide them with a tailored personal plan establishing their individual needs. In that regard, we seek to work with them in a structured but fun manner, providing the skills to support them (including but not limited to completing application forms; CV and resume writing; coaching and mentoring).
Social actions are designed to benefit the community, must be led by young people, must be challenging and they must offer progression for the young person participating.
Some examples of social action:
We are currently working with a group of young people in our recording studio creating a short video and soundtrack to highlight how Covid has affected young people. This is proving to be a great way for our young people to gain experience working with experts in this field and express themselves.
You may ask why you want to use this service or what is great about this service? We are experienced professionals who are excellent at what we do to help young people get into work. As a charity we offer this with no fees, yes you read that correctly this is a FREE service!
Please take a look on our website below to read more information on what we do.
https://www.groundwork.org.uk/projects/head-2-work/
We are also open to hear from young people to see what they would like to do and we will do our best to facilitate it.
