Exciting job vacancies are currently being advertised for Peer Engagement Facilitators working across SWLSTG sites and services. 

 

The roles are work based placements from 3 hours 45 minutes up to 15 hours per week (i.e between 1 to 4 sessions) for a fixed 1 year term at Band 3. The role is designed to give people with lived experience of using mental health services, or those caring for someone who has experiences, an opportunity to work within the NHS and offers enhanced training and supervision opportunities.

Salary: £12,579 per annum

Contract status: Fixed-term (18 months)

Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard (including AAT Advanced Diploma)

 

About you

We need our Finance Apprentice to have a strong sense of accuracy, an aptitude for figures, as well as a high degree of responsibility and possess a ‘can do’ attitude. Good organisational skills and the confidence to work independently are a must.

 

We’re looking for someone that is happy to take on new challenges and has a keen eye for detail. They will be motivated, hard-working and have a real drive to succeed. We are especially interested in candidates with an eagerness to learn and to come up with innovative solutions.

 

Please note, in order to qualify for apprenticeship funding you must

  • Be at least 18 years of age and not in full-time education.
  • Hold Three A levels or equivalent and a GCSE level 6 equivalent in Maths and English and be able to present original qualification certificates. This apprenticeship would ideally suit someone who has studied Maths or Business Studies at A level but this is not essential.
  • Only apply for an apprenticeship unrelated to any qualifications they hold at the same or higher level than the apprenticeship they wish to apply for. The apprenticeship being applied for must be unrelated in subject and content from the qualification already held.
  • Not be enrolled on another funded apprenticeship or another funded further education or higher education programme at the time you start your new apprenticeship.
  • Have the right to work and study in England and have lived in the UK (ordinarily resident) for the last three years.

My Future Course (Level 1)

Start Date: Monday 1st February

My Future is a course for young people aged 16-24 not in employment, education or training, that want to build confidence, develop new skills and meet new people. 

This course is designed to help young people explore a range of job roles and industries that they could pursue in the future, from customer service and retail to digital marketing and film production.

 

Childcare Traineeship (Level 2)

Start Date: Monday 8th February

This Traineeship is ideal for any young person wishing to get into a career in Childcare, gain a Level 2 Childcare qualification and gain work experience in the sector. Working in partnership with a family centre in Battersea, young people on the course will all be given the opportunity to work in the Childcare setting for a three week work placement, and be taught by experienced industry professionals.

Princes Trust: 

Welcome Session (16-30)

We are hosting weekly welcome sessions for young people who want to find out more information about The Prince’s Trust and our opportunities. These will be held through Microsoft Teams in a video conference format. Young people can watch the presentation and get involved as much as they want. Afterwards, a staff member will follow up 1:1 and progress them onto our programmes.

Explore (16-25)

Explore is a 5-week personal development programme which offers young people group activities and one-to-one support to help build confidence, get motivated, meet new people and identify and achieve their goals. Personal development qualifications are available in Interpersonal & Self-management Skills, Participating in Exercise, Healthy Lifestyle, Career Planning, Money Management, and Presentation Skills.
